This time last year we had ten puppies causing chaos in the kitchen. They all went to working homes and there are some promising young dogs among them, including Riska (Fletchingly Annraidh) who I have been training ready to compete in working tests this summer.
Shona (Threevalleys Dawn Approach of Fletchingly) has had an amazing summer with eight rosettes from ten working tests, including winning an Open Water Test.
My trainer suggested that Shona was ready to trial, so having brushed up on our game experience courtesy of three generous shoot captains who allowed us to pick and choose our retrieves, we entered our first Field Trial in December, and after standing through four drives we were awarded a CoM.
Thanks to all my friends for their help and kindness, because I couldn’t have done it without you.
