TRAINING AND WORKING ETIVE
Etive has a lovely attitude to work and seems to have been born knowing exactly what is required of her.
She ran in three puppy tests in 2021, gaining a fourth place at the CWLRC test at Leadon Court on 27th June, and coming third in the LRC of Wales test at St Clears on 17th July; I was particularly pleased with the latter result, because three of the tests were water retrieves, and she delivered to hand without stopping to shake every time.
Etive took to picking up like a duck to water, marking well and staying calm and focused, and is now a valued member of my team, with an uncanny knack of finding game.
She entered her first novice test on 3rd April 2022 and was awarded a CoM by the UGBA.
Her third test was the Shropshire novice on 24th April 2022, which she won, as well as being awarded the cup for the best retrieve.
Etive entered her first open test a fortnight later, with the Clwyd Retriever Club on 8th May 2022, and came third.
She was one of three dogs that tied for fourth place at the Wye Valley open on 23rd July 2022, and all three were awarded a CoM.
We entered the BASC pairs test at the Midland Game Fair on 17th September 2022 and came second.
HEALTH TEST RESULTS
Etive has a clear eye certificate, 0 elbows, 7:4 hips, DNA clear for PRA, EIC, CNM, SD2, HNPK, MCD, and a carrier for STDG, so she will be mated to a clear dog to ensure that her puppies will not be affected.
