TRAINING AND WORKING KINTRA
Kintra is very fast and has a lot of drive, yet she is keen to please and a joy to work.
2023 was her first summer of entering working tests and she excelled herself in the Labrador Retriever Club special puppy (dogs less than 24 months old) water test on 1st June, winning without dropping a single point at the age of 19 months and earning herself the nickname “Little Miss Perfect”, which is very apt considering her perfect health scores.
On 11th June she ran in the Shropshire novice, which her auntie Moidart (Fletchingly Lochlinnhe) won, and she was awarded a CoM, quite an achievement at such a young age, when up against some experienced dogs.
She was on winning form again for the Wye Valley special puppy test on 1st July, which was her last test of the summer, as she came into season a couple of weeks later.
Kintra has had a very pleasing start to her competitive career, and has been out picking up this season, albeit mainly sitting still through the drives, as I want to keep her calm, but also picking her first runner without skipping a beat.
Kintra entered 14 working tests during the summer of 2024 and has proved very consistent, being placed 10 times. Her results are as follows:

23/03/24, Wye Valley novice at Felton Court, 4th.
20/04/24, CNWSRSS novice at Checkley Wood, CoM.
27/04/24, Arfon WGC novice at the Vaynol Estate, 2nd (tied in 1st place, but lost the run-off).
28/04/24, LRC Wales novice at Ffynongain Training Ground, 2nd.
09/06/24, UGBA novice at Leighton Hall, CoM.
16/06/24, Clwyd RC novice at Gwysaney Hall, CoM.
21/07/24, URC BCC novice at Snowshill, CoM.
04/08/24, CNWSRSS novice at Red Hall Farm, 3rd (tied in 3rd place and won the run-off with a spectacular long blind with no shot across a field of turnips).
11/08/24, Usk Valley WGC novice at Big Pit, Blaenavon, 1st.
HEALTH TEST RESULTS
Kintra has a clear eye certificate, 0 elbows, 0:0 hips, and is DNA tested clear for PRA, EIC, CNM, SD2, HNPK, MCD and STDG, giving her perfect health scores, and excellent estimated breeding values.
