The puppies are now four days old and they all seem to be strong and healthy, with pigment appearing on their pads and noses, and they are already starting to support themselves on their legs, so it won’t be long before they are walking.
Riska is proving to be an attentive mother and I’m relieved that she has enough milk for such a large first litter. I’m pleased to say that she’s not too clingy, so she is happy to leave her puppies to come for a short walk.
What beautiful pictures & what a clever “mum” Riska is, feeding such a large litter & feeling secure enough to take a little walk. Well done Nessa, it must be such a busy but lovely time

What gorgeous pictures and lovely thriving puppies, so lovely to see and great that Riska is being an attentive mum and has enough milk but also having some “me” time. I know I’ve not been fortunate to have a puppy from this litter but will enjoy the updates on their progress.
I would also be interested in any future litters you may have.
Enjoy.
