It’s that busy time of year again now that the shooting season is well under way, and I am thoroughly enjoying working my dogs. Shona is an old hand at the picking up game and Riska has taken to it like the proverbial duck to water; she is rock steady when I send Shona and has rapidly made the connection between hearing a shot and looking skywards to see which bird has been hit.
Shona’s latest litter are now five months old and I am getting good reports of their progress. My pup Moidart is coming on a treat and Jason’s pup Bear is an amazing little dog; they are both calm natured, yet keen and speedy, so it looks like there are some talented youngsters from this litter.
